There are a few factors that separate the 80's from the
90's golfer. Some players are born with good feel, but with
good technique and a little practice anybody can get better.
First, one of the best ways to get in the scoring zone is to pitch
and run your shots.Use a 6 or 7 iron and maintain your position
at address so your hands are ahead of the ball and your weight
is forward.
Secondly, you need to pivot toward the target and pinch the ball
against the grass.Hitting down on the ball instead of scooping
will send the ball up and in turn give you the trajectory
needed to get the ball into the scoring zone.
Finally, make sure to keep your weight forward and finish the
club low and in line with your chest. The important key here
is to make sure to keep your left elbow straight through impact.
Mastering the pitch and run will help all golfers
looking to lower their scores.
