Set Up For Better Shot Making

There are 3 tips that are crucial when looking over your tee shot.
You want to be in the optimum position in the fairway to score
low.
First step is to place your right foot in the set up position, then
align the club at your target. This will give you a square
position, which is very important for impact.

Secondly as you move your left foot into position, let your
arms hang freely as you give the club a waggle.Make
sure that your not gripping too tightly.

Finally you should notice your feet in line with your target
and while ready to swing back slowly, keep a good tempo
and swing through the shot.Golf is a very reactionary, get
into a good routine to gain consistency!

Get Out Of The Rough

We have all been stuck in the rough at one time or another. Now
we need to get the ball back into the short grass. The problem
when hitting out of the rough is that the club will twist through
impact and your shot will go off line.

There are many experts that recommend a vertical takeaway
and downswing to fix this problem. The reality is that the key
to rough play is to set up in the right position.

Now align the ball in front of the hosel so that you won't shank
the shot. You will able to minimize the twisting of the club and
the next thing you know you will be in the short grass, and be
in position to hit a great approach shot.

Tips to Break 90

There are a few factors that separate the 80's from the
90's golfer. Some players are born with good feel, but with
good technique and a little practice anybody can get better.

First, one of the best ways to get in the scoring zone is to pitch
and run your shots.Use a 6 or 7 iron and maintain your position
at address so your hands are ahead of the ball and your weight
is forward.

Secondly, you need to pivot toward the target and pinch the ball
against the grass.Hitting down on the ball instead of scooping
will send the ball up and in turn give you the trajectory
needed to get the ball into the scoring zone.

Finally, make sure to keep your weight forward and finish the
club low and in line with your chest. The important key here
is to make sure to keep your left elbow straight through impact.
Mastering the pitch and run will help all golfers
looking to lower
their scores.

Controlling Your Distance

There are many ways to make the ball fly shorter or longer when using the same club. For consistency, you should regulate your distance control by the position of your left arm in the backswing.

Start by hitting full shots with your left arm at 10 o'clock and half shots at about 9 o'clock using your normal swing tempo. Now you can hit a few shots and make sure to take a look at how far the ball goes. At this point you can see there are two yardages for every club in your bag. This is how you build a concrete game built around distance control.

With wedges especially,it is important to swing through the ball with the same tempo.Using the right position of your left arm is crucial for distance and you will be able to hit the ball with more accuracy and achieve the distance your looking for.
